  1. Hi Guys, I hope that you are staying safe. Not sure if you are able to supply this at present? Do you have the correct E46 M3 diff oil that includes a friction modifier? I need 1.2l so either three 500ml bottles or the equivalent. Plus I understand you can provide oil drain plugs so could you please quote on those plus a differential seal? Thanks and regards, David
  2. Hi Guys, I finally got round to swapping my door membrane on the rivers side and realised that I must have ended up with two passenger door ones. Doh! Could you please quote me for an E46 M3 Drivers door side membrane plus the gloopy tape? If you can respond now that would be great and I can get on the phone. Thanks, David

    E46 Rear light gaskets

Thanks David, The lights price is not as bad as I was expecting. I had a bit of condensation in my lights following a small flooding incident - I have dried them out but recognise that that may be temporary. I'll call today/ tomorrow. Thanks, David

Squeaky roof cure for E46 convertibles

    Much appreciated. Cheers, David
  14. Hi Everyone, Has anyone had any luck ridding their car of squeaks apparently caused by the front windows being fully up? If you lower the window a few mm the squeaking stops but I cannot work out what is rubbing on what to cause it. I have noticed that the black, rectangular "wedge" (feels like a hard neoprene or similar) that sits in the window channel of the roof above the top of the front side windows (almost at the junction between the front and rear side windows) has come unstuck on both sides. I have failed to find something that can glue them in. Having had one E46 that was silent with the roof up and now one that is not it is driving me nuts! Thanks for any suggestions that have worked. Regards, David

Squeaky roof cure for E46 convertibles

Thanks The blocks are inside the flocked channels on the roof sections. So the window goes up and sits in the channel and is stopped from hitting the top of the inside of the channel by the block. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough in my description. In the last picture if you trace up the window to window seal you should find a block inside the channel sitting above the front window. With the roof half collapsed you can easily get a small finger into the channel. Cheers, David

Squeaky roof cure for E46 convertibles

This is the window reset procedure - taken from a BMW technician apparently. The language is certainly confusing enough! Initialization is performed on the power window switch of the relevant door. Requirements for correct initialization: • Initialization with engine running • Convertible top, doors and windows closed Initialization comprises: • Erasure of initialization • Reinitialization An initialization must be performed: • In the event of malfunctions, e.g. no one-touch control function, no opening or if available no comfort function is possible • After the power window drive has been replaced • After work is carried out on the power window mechanism • After a power supply interruption, e.g. disconnection of the battery or disconnection of the power supply to the door • After the door window glass has been removed and installed or replaced • After adjustment work on the door window glass • After adjustment work on the convertible top • After replacement of seals Erasure of initialization: • Open door window glass fully • Operate power window switch in "Open" position four times within 10 seconds This erases initialization of the power window, anti-trapping protection and toll function are inactive. Check whether one-touch control (toll) function is inactive, otherwise repeat procedure. Reinitialization: Avoid a break between the two steps! • Open door window glass fully • Operate and hold power window switch in "Close" position (second switch stage) • Once the upper end position has been reached, hold power window switch in "Close" position for approx. 2 seconds longer • Open door window glass fully • Operate and hold power window switch in "Close" position (second switch stage) • Once the upper end position has been reached, hold power window switch in "Close" position for approx. 2 seconds longer __________________

Squeaky roof cure for E46 convertibles

Thanks - very kind of you. You will find a piece of rubber (not sure what it is) about 5cm long by 1cm deep by 1.5cm wide (from memory) stuck to the inside of the channel above the door glass. I would love to know exactly where it sits as both of mine are loose. Getting them back to where they are meant to sit feels important as, for example, I don't know if they sit far enough along towards the back of the car for the rear window to also hit them when raised. If you could check and let me know where they sit in relation to the window channel end that would be really useful. The window reset would then ensure that the glass wasn't closing too tightly against that pad. Thanks, David

Squeaky roof cure for E46 convertibles

Hi Shock, A bit. I'm going to re-clean the windows and polish them. Everyone seems to warn against silicon spray in the window channels so I have avoided that. The theory being that the flock on the channels against the polished window should not do much. Sun visors can be very noisy where they touch the roof bar. The wedges sit inside the glass channels in the roof frame. Effectively, they are on top of the glass and stop the glass sitting against the inside edge of the channel. I think they have a big impact and can cause a squeak them selves so they will be my next point of focus. Are you having issues with yours? Cheers, David
  20. Hi Guys, Can you give me a price for a 17" space saver wheel used on a 330d or 330i as apparently I can use it on an M3. Is there a cover that you can buy for the wheel once I have the tyre? If you could do a tyre 135/80 - 17 then please give a quote for that; if it was fitted that would be even better! ;-) Thanks and regards, David
  21. Hi Everyone, Could you please quote for part number 9224365-02? Its from the passenger side rear door and is the clip that holds the wiring plug from that door into the B pillar. Thanks, David

Hi Guys, Like this although we only need the outer casing which covers the plug (that goes into the door pillar). https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-X5-F15-Rear-Left-Door-Wiring-LHD-9323479-/112596890470 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-X5-Rear-Left-Door-Wiring-Loom-F15-6919439-9305898-2013-/112585981493 Cheers, David

2016 X5 Passenger door wiring clip

It does not look to be any of those parts; it may be coming up as a wiring loom for the door which plugs into the B pillar. It is the locking cover that sits over the monoblock wiring plug thing from the door which has been broken. I have no idea how! Cheers, David
  25. Hi Guys, Could you please let me know what the cost is for: Drivers door window trim strip Passengers door window trim strip Drivers side rear panel window trim strip Passengers side rear panel window trim strip The trims are all M3 satin black Thanks and regards, David
