mogsie1 0 Posted July 5 can someone please help and advise me. I had my car go into limp mode with warning of drivetrain problems coming up 63plate 320 xdrive petrol 46.000 miles. It went to BMW and long story short the engine is out I owe them £1500 and they say I need a new engine which will leave me a bill of around £11,000. Because I have full BMW service history they said it’s a common problem and would maybe pay a small amount to wards help fix it. I will still have to pay around £8000 which I do not have. I can’t help but think the fact it’s a common problem should I have to be paying for this? Surely at this age and low miles it shouldn’t be happening. I do not have warranty on my car. Can some someone please advice.
