Hi there, name's Rob....Lance1a part is due to ownership of Lancias and because it's a damn site easier to make a name from that than BMW or Mercedes. I worked for BMW UK both here and abroad for ten years in various roles mainly in pre-production and prototyping/special vehicle operations before going it alone from home and now based in the barns. I generally restore modern classics, but do servicing etc etc as well. Mainly BMW, but Merc, Lancia, Alfa, Saab etc. I have another side of the business which deals with Yank stuff of the late 50's to 70's (Mustangs, T-Birds, Buicks etc) and have about 50 cars in the barns at any given time. I'm sort of disabled as I only have proper use of one hand, the other having severe nerve damage. I've had a few cars in magazines like the Bike Carb E30 316C in 2007 Total BMW, and a few others. Oh...I just hit 50 the other day so you'll have to speak slowly. Hehe.
I've had a LOT of BMW's in the past.....38 E30's, 24 E36's, 4 E38's, 6 E28's, 2 E23's, 4 E39's, 1 E60, 5 E46's and 5 E24's. Currently have a E28 daily in dolphin, another in Zinnober, a E28 M535i in Alpine and a E28 525E in Burgundy. Am also just about to start a 2002 Turbo Replica project on our 1972 2002 Automatic. Have a trio of E24 Highlines as well, only one of which is properly sorted. One is a Macau M/sport.
I found this place due to a message from one of your guys who saw my 454000 mile E36 on Ebay....thanks bud, I owe you a beer!
Well....that's me in a nutshell I suppose. Thanks.
