Hey guys, currently living out in Poland and recently picked up an old 316i, so far so good with day to day running but my list of 'to do' fixes has been growing (mostly aesthetics).
So far all I have done is replace a few small bits:
Newly reburbished steering wheel
OEM gear knob
Find suspected vacuum leak
Figure out rev issue if the above is not the cause!
Picked up some OEM 10 spoke 15" alloys that need fitting
Further down the line:
Touch up various scratches and dents
Repair minor tear in rear seat, you can't see it but i know its there which is just as annoying
And you can expect the following questions over the next few months :
Can you fit an OEM remote central locking module (and sensor) to a car that wasn't shipped with one, or do you need to go aftermarket?
Is there the wiring for the front fogs as in plug and play as if it always had them, or will they need custom wiring?
What exhausts do people run, mine is due for replacement and might let this be aftermarking, but don't want to get too larger a diameter and ruin the already fading performance.
No need to answer these now (unless you feel compelled), I will be asking properly in the correct section in due course!
As you can see im a little swayed towards keeping it OEM, that said I can't seem to stop looking at a full set of coil overs.....i feel bankruptcy coming on !!
