    My dirty old Scandinavian:)

    Hi folks,

Just thought id start this thread if thats okay

Well so much for wanting an old 90s coupe!

A mate bought this in Oct as a stop gap car and hes done with it now so its now in my hands for 200 quid

Wouldnt be my first choice but its gotta be autos only these days and this will keep the miles off my e32

So its a 2002 Volvo S60 2 lite turbo auto with 120000 miles on it

its only Motd till middle March with a couple of advisories about suspension ball joints/ bush so not too bad

Its got 11 stamps in the book from Volvo then indies and the last one was at 105000 so needs a service.

Theres nowt to say if the timing belt has been done but ill see if the tech minded guys can advise me about that in the tech section

Drives well and everything works inside, leathers all decent as well. Just needs a good clean really to get it looking fine

So thatll do me for the money and ill use this most of the time and keep the miles off my e32.

Kinda bugs me that i like it fine to be honest!

Cant decide on whether to get the timing belt done and keep it for a good while since it an auto as well or just run it till it dies

    VOLVO AUTOS ARE THE DOGS

    Thanks for looking guys!

I don't know mate, but without a receipt or some proof that the job has been done you have to assume it needs attention - unless you can see it when you pull back the cover.

200 is real cheap, Volvos are brilliant for miles, manager had one with 185000 on it, original clutch , turbo etc, went like a train, didn't use oil, no rust , he liked it so much he's now on his 3rd, everyone super reliable.
are there any stickers near the timing belt covers which might ell with your decision

Yeah it does drive well enough, probably just used to my old rear drive BMWs. Definatly built well enough and it does go well with the turbo

I see what you mean with the sticker, the mrs Golf had a sticker under the cover with the date and mileage when it was done

    Ill have a look tomorrow

Apparently the autoboxes can go as well but for a 200 car im not bothered
