    Ben's Scooby Roo

So yea, was randomly looking on Ebay(so dangerous) and saw this for cheap and bought it......
Never been into them or know anything about them so done it the right way buying one

Anyway, here it is, 2001 Impreza WRX 2.0:

Took my Mother to pick it up as she is on a Trade insurance policy(I was driving the 528i) and she was really pissed off the radio didn't work so that was the first job:

areal wasn't plugged in so easy fix!

Clock wasn't working so checked the fuse and feed to it, which was ok. So pulled it out and noticed a little chip had fallen off so out with the soldering iron:

I went down to ECP to get some oil(20% off because Easter), but decided to get a genuine oil filter, so just done the fuel for the moment:

You all know me by now, I simply cannot have a car without a silly exhaust so......:

Its actually quite fun having a light little car after the big comfy 5er and when it comes on boost its pretty fast! Although I don't think its got as much HP as my old 330Ci it feels quicker.
Kinda wish I'd test driven a few and maybe bought a better/faster one because I really didn't think they would be as good as it is, but oh well.
Not sure what I am going to do with it at the moment apart from drop the oil and re-seal the boot spoiler, its had a lot of work done in the last year(clutch, timing belts, battery, all the brakes, headlights and it only passed its MOT in February. I have looked into them since I bought it and it really is astounding what these little 4 cylinder engines can make with a bigger turbo and injectors, 300 odd hp is so easy to get and people rebuild the engines for 500-600whp

And before you all say its ugly, I actually really like the "bugeye" look!

Definitely should be a fun toy, question is how long do you think you'll keep this one?

Good buy, a mate just recently got a bug eye too, they've aged well and I don't mind them neither.

Just a word of warning, they are sensitive to mods and need remaps for every little thing you do (including exhausts), don't take the risk check up on Scooby forums (I am not gonna lie, I don't know much about them, i'm more of an Evo guy, but still like Scoobies) but many friends and colleagues have had them and have mentioned it.

They are so cheap though, so VFM is great.

Nice looking bug-eye, always been tempted to get one but I know I would end up spending so much on modifications.

Was working at a distribution place today and one of the mechanics there has just spent 3500 on modifying the engine alone on his. Insides let them down but a fun toy , like the black wheels
