    Playhouse project - Extension underway...

For christmas this year we would like to get our daughter an outdoor play house, but after plenty of looking around we have decided i am going to bild her one!! For about 100 we could get a nastly plastic one from toysrus with no windows floor or proper door. We then decided on a durable outdoor jobbie, for a new one your talking 500-700 which is way out of our price range. Then we looked at wooden ones on ebay and they are still selling for 300+ and after doing some investigating they are basically a garden shed. So i have drawn it up on Autocad and ordered my timber and got cracking. The timber i am using for the frame is double the size of normal playhouses so its going to last years. Here are some pics of the progress and i will update on its develpoment over the coming months. Please bear in mind i am by no means a carpenter or fabricator, i just work in an office.

This is roughtly how i intend it to look when finished.

    Construction so far.

It's sat on paving slabs with a dpm under the timbers so rot won't be a problem
