You can't beat hammering shit under an old car & getting piles of rust falling in your eyes as things fall apart...... Actually you can but the 21yo Sweedish, blonde, shaved lesbian sisters were unavailable today so I had to make do with a can of WD40. Another time maybe....
Anyway, my lack of shaved sweeds aside I got her done with the pressure bleed kit so MOT next week!
Old Vauxhall are rare on the roads now, passed an immaculate mk2 Astra convertible , it was white 2 litre and looked brand new.
I wish I had locked my gte 16v away.
Well done with the mot. I bet your lad is thinking that he cannot wait to get his hands on the calibra
A decent F28 plus the Z32SE cost me enough in the first place, then I compounded that with spending £300 on the "while I'm at it" Roose silicon hoses plus all the other bits & had to do on the way.
Got MOT today, happy days!
3 Advisories though the cheeky gits!
Nothing to worry about, first was for the brake fluid being just above minimum level. All the work done on the brakes over the last 2 weekends & the first road test happened to be the 15 mile drive to the test centre this morning so it's no shock that's it's dropped a little. Top up & that's that one sorted.
Other two were for the rubbers on the track rod ends being slightly deteriorated, no biggie again so well chuffed with that!
She had to sit out the back of my office in the rain all afternoon though....
The tester & the garage owner, when I picked it up, did comment on how surprised they were with how low my emissions were, I'm assuming that this is a good thing but here's what they were.
For the more "Eagle Eyed" among you, yes that sheet does say 2498cc. I did change my V5 when I went from 2.0 to 2.5 in 2011 but I've still not gotten around to changing it again for the 3.2. It's on my "sooner rather than later" to do list though.
E36 TDS (24-03-2016)
I am shocked you changed it on the V5 in the first place, didn't think anyone did!
Fancy putting the brake fluid isn't up to the max line on the MOT, knobs =/ Well done on the pass though matey
That engine bay does look good. What are the plans this year then?
