Been having a better look at this and took some pics and was hoping for some advice about the chassis rust and the hard shocks
Think this must have been undersealed at one time since its been here as theres still the plasticky stuff to peel off
It looks bad but not as bad as my last e28 looked and that cleaned up good and went through the Mot with no advisories. Just looking for a bit of reassurance really!
I wont be starting this for a while till after my e34s finished but if its worth it then ill get it in my shed and derust/ waxoyle and hammerite it before winter
Heres some pics, gave the floor/ rails etc a good go with a screwdriver like
In the pic with the shocker im wondering if that could be the cause of the very hard ride. Can you adjust the hardness with them? The ride is really solid like
The pic of the flexi pipe..i think now thats a decat pipe and its that one thats leaking. Do you think thats where the cats meant to be?
Im liking this car more now but im not keeping it if looks like it needs more work underneath than i think and the suspension stays solid like it is now
Its like its on its lowest/ hardest setting and looks too low to me at the back in this pic
Appreciate any opinions/ advice guys. Is there something there im not seeing...
