Along with the BMW's in the garage, I seem to be running a side line in repairing cars for the Mrs at the moment, which would be great if I got paid for it while I'm off work.
Now, had an issue with this Mazda a few months back, where it decided it was going to pop 2 injectors from the top of the engine and let them rattle around. Fixed that issue with a set of recon injectors, seals and copper washers which didn't look like they had been replaced on the 75k service.
Now, having just washed it, because its going up for sale as it isn't required any longer, I started "it" up to take it for a spin, low and behold after 5 mins the EML came on, took her home and popped the VGate Scanner on and it came up with the "Cylinder 4 Misfire - Detected" fault.
Question is, what could cause this? Its the first diesel I've worked on and hopefully the last to be honest.
No symptoms with the apparent "misfire" and I didn't know diesels could actually do this. Glow plug possibly?
