    Auto-electrical help(non bmw)

    Alright chaps.

The SRS light is on in the Honda.
The code is telling me its a short on the passenger air bag unit.
Now the special Honda tool/simulator is 2ohms, so if I wire a 2 ohm resistor into the car loom side them the ECU will think the airbag unit is OK? I don't want to try it and blow the SRS ECU which is why I am asking you fine fellows

If this is correct, where can I get a 2 ohm resistor from?

    Cheers!

Have you looked at the air bag Ben, it could just be a broken wire mate and you should be able to get a resistor from maplins, failing that mate i could not tell you, bloody hate the things

Don't see why it wouldn't work, it's obviously detecting the wrong resistance so throwing up the light. As long as u disconnect the battery for 10 mins before wiring in the resistor u should be ok. If u can't find one let me know and I'll post one, got loads of them at work

Remove the Airbag light, problem solved, won't fail on the MOT, just make sure you don't crash,

No, they have/are changing the rules AGAIN, you can only fail it if the light is on, can't fail it if the light doesn't work.

Get a battery, 2 wires, and connect the positive and negative terminals of the battery to the airbag to test it........ You'll know if it works
